Waking up at a gas station in the middle of the night

Who can say

There’s  lot of death on my floor, and
I get to be there for people

I love it.

Where does that come from?

From Prior Lake
And grandparents
and parents
and brothers

But really from inside. Then

To forty-nine states
And Italy
And the Rhine

And then back
Door to floor

Why so fearful?

I can talk to anyone
I like making people laugh, making them smile

Who can say

This isn’t me
I hate it. And

Starts over
2-D design, clean, to
4-D people, messy, sick

Now laughing.

The person who is the best version of herself,

Who takes the time to do things that might look simple
Well
For the people around her

It takes the time it needs to take, which might look long.

Where are we?

Right here.
