Family disputes turn distant
In the arms of bedroom walls
Where shut eyes can uncover
Thoughts yet to be explored.

I’d set adrift to Iceland
Where my roots become detached
And incandescent waters
Give me no choice but to relax

Alas the day draws closer
And I’ll reluctantly return
With a new found satisfaction
Called back by morning sun.
