It is not in time but with time that she collides with truth
A truth that anchors the force that she is.

Pain lays her down but reflections stand her up.
High enough to hold another’s hand 
And lift them up

Tick toc is how we know clock.
Knock-knock is how she hears clock.
Because she answers, 
empathy is her companion
forgiveness her unspoken ally,
regret her distant friend 

Fleeting reality is the most melancholic
part of her becoming.
